7^th CENTRAL PAY COMMISSION

ANNOUNCED BY THE GOVERNMENT

Central Government today announced the constitution of the 7^th CPC. Confederation of Central Government Employees and workers alongwith NFPE has been demanding appointment of 7^th CPC right from 2011 onwards. 

We have conducted continuous agitational programmes including Parliament March and also one day nationwide strike on 12^th December 2012. After 12^th December Strike we have decided to go for indefinite strike and strike ballot is also announced. We congratulate the entire Central Government employees who rallied behind Confederation. Confederation is the only organization which has conducted serious agitation demanding constitution of 7^th CPC.

Government has not yet announced the Chairman, Committee members etc of the 7^th CPC and also terms of reference. Further our demand for merger of DA, giving effect from 01.01.2011, inclusion of three lakhs Gramin Dak Sevaks under the purview of 7^th CPC, granting DA merger to GDS and settlement of other demands in the 15 points Charter of Demands are also pending. Before announcing the terms of reference of 7^th CPC. If Government is not ready to accept our above demands, Confederation National Executive will meet shortly and shall decide for further course of action.

PM approves 7th Pay Commission

NEW DELHI, SEPT 25 (IBNS) 

UNION FINANCE MINISTER P.CHIDAMBARAM ON WEDNESDAY ANNOUNCED THAT PRIME MINISTER MANMOHAN SINGH HAS APPROVED THE CONSTITUTION OF THE SEVENTH CENTRAL PAY COMMISSION (CPC).

The average time taken by a Pay Commission to submit its recommendations has been about two years.

"Accordingly, allowing about two years for the 7th CPC to submit its report, the recommendations are likely to be implemented with effect from 1.1.2016," said Chidambaram in a statement.

"The names of the Chairperson and members as well as the terms of reference (ToR) of the 7th Pay Commission will be finalised and announced shortly after consultation with major stakeholders," he said.

Since India's Independence, pay commissions have been set up on a regular basis to review and make recommendations on the work and pay structure of all civil and military divisions of the Government of India.

டெல்லி: மத்திய அரசு ஊழியர்களின் கோரிக்கையை ஏற்று 7வது ஊதியக் குழுவை நியமித்து பிரதமர் மன்மோகன்சிங் இன்று உத்தரவு பிறப்பித்திருக்கிறார். 7வது ஊதியக் குழு அமைத்து அதன் பரிந்துரைகளை செயல்படுத்த வேண்டும் என்பது மத்திய அரசு ஊழியர் சங்கங்களின் நீண்டகால கோரிக்கை. இந்த ஊதியக் குழுவில் வேறு பல ஊழியர்களையும் இணைக்க வேண்டும் என்றும் வலியுறுத்தப்பட்டு வந்தது. இந்த நிலையில் இன்று ஐநா பொதுச்சபை கூட்டத்துக்கு நியூயார்க் செல்வதற்கு முன்பாக 7வது ஊதியக் குழுவை நியமித்து பிரதமர் மன்மோகன்சிங் உத்தரவு பிறப்பித்துள்ளார். இந்த ஊதியக் குழு 2 ஆண்டுகாலம் செயல்படும். இக் குழுவின் பரிந்துரைகள் 2016ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 1-ந் தேதி முதல் நடைமுறைக்கு வரும். இதன் மூலம் 50 லட்சம் அரசு ஊழியர்கள் பயனடைவர். அண்மையில்தான் மத்திய அரசு ஊழியர்களுக்கு 10% அகவிலைப்படியை மத்திய அரசு உயர்த்தி அறிவித்திருந்தது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
